McBrearty takes down Tyrone
Donegal put a fancied Tyrone team to the sword at Healy Park thanks, in no small part, to a seven-point haul from senior star Paddy McBrearty.
Playing a high energy, counter-attacking game in the mould of their seniors, Donegal were dominant throughout and deserved to have won by a greater margin as they set up a semi-final tie with Derry.
McBrearty converted a couple of frees, with Odhran MacNiallais also on target before Stefan Tierney plundered a goal for Tyrone very much against the run of play.
Donegal led 0-8 to 1-3 at the interval and McBrearty continued to weave his magic after the break, firing two more points, with Darach O'Connor also getting in for a score.
As the game entered its final quarter, Donegal led by 0-12 to 1-5, and they closed out the win with late points from Luke Keeney, Gibbons and Eoin McHugh.
