Magee injury blow for Dubs

DUBLIN midfielder Darren Magee is likely to be out for the rest of the season after sustaining a leg injury last night.

Initial reports suggested that he had sustained a broken lower leg or ankle while playing a League game with his club, Kilmacud Crokes.

That's also bad news for Dublin, for while he hasn't been holding down a starting position this summer, he came on as a sub against Armagh and Louth in the All-Ireland qualifiers. Ross McConnell and Michael Darragh Macauley are Dublin's first choice midfielders at present with Magee and Eamon Fennell battling it out as No 1 back-up.
