Lucey strike sets wheels in motion as St Brendan's progress with ease

St Brendan's 3-10
St Flannan's 0-3

St Brendan's cruised into a semi-final meeting with champions Colaiste Na Sceilge with a 16-point victory over St Flannan's in Foynes.

The Killarney side shaded the opening quarter and went in at the interval 1-4 to 0-2 ahead thanks to a Padraig Lucey goal before the break.

In the second half, a brace of points by Chris O'Leary was quickly followed by a Tom Moriarty goal.

St Flannan's won plenty of possession, however they didn't have the firepower to trouble the winners' defence.

But St Brendan's had Shaun Keane, Jeff O'Donoghue and Chris O'Leary all playing at the top of their game.

And another goal by Keane 10 minutes from time put the seal on the victory for St Brendan's.
