Shane Lindsay and Ultan Corrigan scored goals in six first-half minutes to seal a spot in the All-Ireland intermediate club football final for Kiltane

Kiltane bossed the first half, putting in a storming second quarter to break Clyda Rovers' resolve at Duggan Park Ballinasloe.

Kiltane had the win all but wrapped up when they led 2-7 to 0-3 at half-time and when Clyda's Paudie Kissane rattled the crossbar with a 53rd-minute penalty, any slim chances of a comeback disappeared.

"It's unbelievable," said Kiltane captain Pat Joe Gaughan. "You are not just doing this for yourself and your team-mates, there is a whole parish there."

Corrigan's 22nd-minute goal gave Kiltane a cushion, and two minutes from the break Lindsay ran on to a break off Tommy Conroy and found the net.

In the second half, frees from Corrigan and Edmund Barrett set up a decider with Truagh.
