Legends take to fairways

If you fancy a round of golf with some of the GAA's greatest living legends then the annual Hall of Fame trip to Marbella next October could be just to your liking.

The trip, once again being run by Killester Travel, has become a highlight of the year for golfing and Gaelic games enthusiasts and this year should be no exception.

Among the GAA legends confirmed for the trip are Kerry greats Jack O'Shea, Ogie Moran and Mikey Sheehy, Kilkenny heroes Eddie Keher and Noel Skehan and former Clare captain and current Dublin manager Anthony Daly. Others confirmed include Babs Keating and former Dublin footballer Paul Curran, who now works with Killester Travel.

The party departs Dublin for Marbella on October 3, returning on October 10, although there is also an option to leave from Cork, Shannon or Belfast, and to extend or shorten the trip to suit.

The party will stay at the wonderful El Fuerte Miramar Hotel in Marbella, and the featured golf course for the trip is the Chaparral course, one of the highest rated courses on the Costa del Sol.

One of the features of the area is that the hotel has a fantastic location within walking distance of some of Marbella's best restaurants and bars, which adds to the colour and enjoyment of the place.
