Kingdom not crumbling yet, Gooch

STEADY on Gooch, no need to declare an emergency just yet. Colm Cooper suggested on Monday that Kerry would need to be very careful not to get left behind in the great stampede for glory over the next few years.

"We will have to be better if we want to be talking about top honours because Dublin will be able to lift the bar again and Cork will come back. The Kildares, Donegals, Mayos all seem to be getting better. If we stand still, we will be passed out again," he said.

It's amazing what seven minutes can do. Kerry were unbackable favourites to win the All-Ireland final when leading by four points after 63 minutes -- now there's talk of them being left behind. Then again, maybe not, since the bookies have installed them at 5/2 favourites to win the 2012 All-Ireland, ahead of Dublin at 3/1 and Cork at 4/1.
