Kelly, Walsh inspire rampaging Tribesmen
Galway stormed into the semi-finals as Gary Kelly and Shane Walsh led them to victory at Tuam Stadium.
Anthony Brennan's side had no answer to Galway's dynamic performance and a tally of 1-18 from open play underlined the Tribesmen's superiority.
They now have just four days' recovery before their last-four clash with Mayo on Saturday.
"We are lucky that we don't think we have any serious injuries after that game. We were able to take off a few lads early enough, but Saturday won't be long coming around," said Galway manager Alan Flynn. "The winning margin probably flattered us a bit in the end, but we have to be happy with it."
Galway led by 1-8 to 0-5 at the break, Sean Moran with the goal, as Walsh and Kelly began to find their range – they kicked 12 of the last 13 points to cruise through.
