Grehan and Fox call the shots

Gallen CS prevailed in a very exciting final at St Loman's Lakepoint Park yesterday. Although St Peter's were first off the mark with two early points, the Ferbane midfield partnership of Leon Fox and Brian Grehan began to assert their influence.

The result was six unanswered points which put Gallen CS into a thoroughly deserved four-point lead approaching half-time.

The second half was a more even contest but with midfielders Fox and Grehan dominant and centre-back Daragh Corbett excelling, the Royals always looked second best as Gallen CS held out for a thoroughly deserved two-point victory. The new Leinster champions will now meet Bandon school St Brogan's in the All-Ireland semi-final.
