Goals the difference for Cavan

Cavan 4-11 Wexford 1-12 Leinster JFC

CAVAN impressed in this eight-point victory over Wexford at Farmleigh yesterday evening.

They struck their opening goal after 11 minutes from Chris Conroy and further strikes from Declan McKiernan, and Martin Dunne helped them to lead 3-7 to 0-7 at the interval.

Brendan Murray's goal two minutes from the end killed off a fleeting Wexford revival.
