Galvin boost for limerick

LIMERICK, whose relegation fears have been eased by back-to-back wins, will be further boosted by having John Galvin back 'full-time' for the remainder of the Allianz Football League, WRITES Cliona Foley.

Galvin has been combining Division 1 basketball for Team Garvey's Castleisland with Gaelic football, doubling up most weekends.

He had to miss the football last Sunday to play in Castleisland's national league semi-final victory. But next Sunday's final will end his basketball commitments for the season, freeing up the midfielder to concentrate on football.

Limerick take on Westmeath (April 3) and Wexford (April 10) in their final league games. They looked destined for the drop to Division 4 after three straight losses, but victories over Cavan and Louth have given them renewed hope.
