Fennell saga nears end
The long-running episode of Eamon Fennell's inter-club transfer could come to a conclusion next week.
The DRA are expected to hear the case on Monday night, provided both parties, Fennell and Dublin County Board, agree with the date. A judgment could be made as early as that night.
Fennell failed in his third attempt to leave his home club O'Toole's, with St Vincent's his chosen destiny for the second successive attempt. Before that he sought a move to Ballymun Kickhams.
Elsewhere, there is mounting speculation in Westmeath that their top forward Denis Glennon has left the county football panel.
Glennon has top-scored for the county in their first two Division 2 games when he scored 0-5 (0-1f) and 0-4 (0-3f). Manager Brendan Hackett was unavailable for comment.
Mayo forward Mark Ronaldson has confirmed that he will be appealing a proposed four-week ban imposed after video evidence was viewed in their league clash with Tyrone.
