Cullinane sparkles

ALL-IRELAND champions Clonakilty Community College retained their provincial title by easily overcoming the spirited challenge of Coachford at Brinny GAA grounds.

Right corner-forward Cillian Cullinane was the star of the show, producing an exhibition of superb free-taking aligned to great open play skills.

Cullinane wasn't the only class act on display for the East Cork side, as centre-forward Gearoid Barry also impressed with his direct and effective style of attacking.

On 10 minutes a flowing move culminated in Martin O'Donovan blasting home the game's only goal.

Coachford did well to stay with the champions thanks to five points from full-forward John Corkery, but when Barry knocked over two late points for Clonakilty, the game was finally up for the challengers.
