Connolly case sends the right signal

THANKFULLY common sense prevailed in the Diarmuid Connolly case and the CHC made the right decision and overturned the red card, just as was made with Michael Murphy's one earlier in the summer.

Much as officials often get roundly criticised, this season, outside of the Brian Farrell incident, the review body has been on the mark. And in rescinding Connolly's red card, they sent out a strong signal to those who hit the deck holding their faces.
