Bolton holds nerve to ease Lilies home
Kildare 0-8, Wicklow 0-7
Kildare will play in their third consecutive decider after snatching victory in Newbridge.
The visitors led by two points with eight minutes remaining, but they wilted in the face of Kildare pressure and Cian Bolton kicked the winner in the final minute
Dermot Finn's charges began brightly when scoring the game's first three points. Bolton slotted the first from play before lofting a wonderful score from a free.
Paddy Mahon nabbed third in the 12th minute.
Wicklow were level within eight minutes. Brian Coen got them off the mark from a free before 'keeper, Robert Lambert drove over a '45'.
Matthew Byrne brought the sides level but Bolton edged Kildare in front. It was just 0-4 to 0-3 at the interval.
Harry Murphy's men dominated the second half, with Coen in fine form.
The St Patrick's clubman kicked three frees, but his first score of the half from play was the score of the day.
His fifth point made it 0-7 to 0-5 but Seamus Hanafin reduced the margin from a free before Keith Cribbin drove over a wonderful score to bring the sides level five minutes from time.
Both sides had opportunities to grab the win, but Kildare were looking the more likely and after Colm Fagan was fouled, Bolton held his nerve to secure his side's berth in the final.
