'Banty' enters frame to take Antrim reins

SEAMUS McEnaney has emerged as a late contender for the vacant Antrim football manager's job.

A joint ticket of Gearoid Adams and Kevin Madden has been tipped to get the job, with former Saffrons boss Liam Bradley also in contention, but Antrim officials are understood to have talked to McEnaney earlier this week.

His most recent inter-county involvement was working with the Monaghan ladies this summer, who reached the senior football final, but 'Banty' is best known for managing his native county to two Ulster finals and, most recently, overseeing the Meath footballers.
