AIB Leinster club SFC final

St Brigid's (Dublin) v Garrycastle (Westmeath), O'Connor Pk, Tullamore, 2.0, S Doyle (Wexford)

IF Garrycastle win Westmeath's first club provincial title here, there will be an interesting All-Ireland semi-final as the winners play St Brigid's Roscommon, who their manager Anthony Cunningham previously steered to a Connacht title.

But first, the Westmeath three-in-a-row champions have another Brigid's to get past: the Castleknock/ Blanchardstown crew who won Leinster in 2003 and rediscovered their team ethic when winning Dublin this year. Garrycastle lost the decider in 2009 to Portlaoise and to Kilmacud Crokes in last year's semis and a Westmeath side has never beaten a Dublin club in this competition.

Dublin teams have won five of the last eight Leinster titles and two of the last four All-Irelands and the Northsiders, co-managed by Meath legend Gerry McEntee and Mark Byrne, will be confident.

Paths to the Final: St Brigid's: beat Summerhill (Meath) 2-15 to 0-11; then Horeswood (Wexford) 1-20 to 3-8; then Portlaoise 2-16 to 1-15 after extra-time. Garrycastle: Beat Longford Slashers 4-11 to 1-6 and Athy 1-10 to 1-6.

Betting: St Brigid's 4/9, Garrycastle 9/4, Draw 15/2.

Verdict: St Brigid's
