Families and colleagues torn over Mayo and Dublin support

Even are fighting over who will claim the title on Sunday’s big match between Mayo and Dublin.

Staff in the Talbot Street offices are divided ahead of next Sunday's All-Ireland final.

With the Dublin contingent firmly in favour of journalist Louise Kelly’s side, she calls on fellow Dubliners to join her in her support for the ‘Boys in Blue’.

“The bunting is out and the jersey is ready for Sunday’s game,” said Louise.  “Great to see some houses fully decked out in blue paint. Up the Dubs!”

"Although there are a number of Dubs working here, it feels like the country is against us.

"Everyone got behind us the last time because we were playing Kerry.

"But this time everyone is shouting for Mayo. Our backs are against the wall - but it will only make us stronger."

As Louise indicated, for anyone beyond the Pale, there's only team to support - and it's appearing that the 'neutrals' are only too happy to don the red and green of Mayo.

The social media editor hopes her county team will bring the Sam Maguire home for the first time since 1951.

“Looking forward to chatting to fans outside Croker on Sunday. Mayo for Sam!” she shouted, fist firmly clenched in the air.

"There are at least four Dubs working alongside me - I'm surrounded," she said.

"If Dublin win, Monday morning will be unbearable in here.

"But if Mayo win, it will be a week to enjoy," she grinned.

Both women have promised to wear their respective county jerseys for the rest of the week.

For now though, they're settling on these fetching All-Ireland special edition 'Hairy Baby' t-shirts.

We're looking for pictures and video from Dublin and Mayo fans at home and abroad.
