Donal O'Grady and TJ Ryan will be named as the new Limerick hurling management team for 2014 after a special County Board meeting tonight.

O'Grady and his former selector Ryan have been chosen as the preferred candidates for the position left vacant by John Allen's departure at the end of the Treaty's championship campaign this year.

O'Grady and Ryan have built a close working relationship since the former Cork winning All-Ireland manager's one year stint with Limerick.

After his departure from Limerick, O'Grady returned to work as a hurling pundit with RTE, while Ryan has since managed north Cork outfit Kilworth and was Limerick U21 manager last year.

It is believed that outgoing physical trainer Mark Lyons is likely to remain in his post.
