Cork dual star Aidan Walsh selected to make hurling debut against Limerick

Dual star Aidan Walsh will make his debut for the Cork hurlers against Limerick on Saturday night at Páirc uí Rinn.

Jimmy Barry-Murphy and his selectors have named an experienced team for Saturday night's clash, with 10 of the starting 15 having also started the All-Ireland Final Replay last year.

Mark Ellis, Rob O'Shea, Kilian Murphy, Stephen White and Walsh also get starting positions, the latter pair having come on as subs in the All-Ireland Final replay.

Cork team to play Limerick: Anthony Nash, Shane O’Neill, Stephen Mc Donnell, Kilian Murphy, Stephen White, Christopher Joyce, Mark Ellis, Daniel Kearney, Lorcan McLoughlin, Conor Lehane, Cian McCarthy, Rob O’Shea, Patrick Horgan, Stephen Moylan.

The Tipperary team to play Waterford in the Allianz Hurling League on Saturday at 7pm in Semple Stadium has also been announced.

Right corner-back Cathal Barrett from the Holycross-Ballycahill club will be the sole League debutant in a team captained by midfielder Brendan Maher. In total, there are seven changes to the Tipperary team which captured Waterford Crystal Cup honours last weekend.

Tipperary team to play Waterford:  Darren Gleeson, Cathal Barrett, Conor O’Mahony, Michael Cahill Shane McGrath, Padraic Maher, Conor O’Brien, Brendan Maher, James Woodlock; Seamus Callanan, Noel McGrath, Kieran Bergin; Jason Forde, Paddy Murphy, John O’Dwyer.
