The Burleigh Accountancy Handicap Hurdle is the feature at Ballinrobe this evening and, with a purse of €30,000, the turnout is pretty disappointing.

This event is open to runners rated 130 or less and it transpires that the ceiling rating is a stone higher than the two runners with top marks here, Denham Sound and From Eden.

The Charles Byrnes runner is given preference, albeit a tentative one. Paul Townend riding instead of Davy Russell, Byrnes' go-to man, shouldn't put anyone off. This filly is consistent and she is probably on a reasonable mark.

From Eden is interesting for Val O'Brien, who has not had a winner since this one scored in early April. The wily Galwegian usually hits form around this time every year.

Denham Sound's stablemate Rosie Alice gets the nap vote in the Broderick's Electrical Handicap Hurdle. This daughter of Beneficial was unlucky not to win at Galway under Russell.

Jockey bookings are tricky to weigh up in an opening J.J.Burke Peugeot 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle dominated by Joseph O'Brien. Richard Strauss looks the pick after a fine third at Cork in the first juvenile maiden of the term.
