Winter fun and smiles

With the festive countdown now in full swing, your oral health might be far down on your Christmas to-do list. However, now is the perfect time to think about giving yourself the gift of a new smile! Combine a trip to award-winning Kreativ Dental Clinic with a visit to the Budapest Christmas markets.

Familiar with the song ‘All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth’? If you’re not, Google it! While the novelty Christmas song, is based on young primary school students, it’s not unusual for an adult to wish for their front teeth either.

Over their 18 years in business, Kreativ Dental Clinic in Budapest have successfully helped thousands of people worldwide (including Ireland, USA and further) who have lost teeth to injury, or other situations, achieve a new smile. Voted Best International Clinic in 2018, Kreativ Dental Clinic’s treatments include dental implants, porcelain crowns and bridges, artificial bone replacement, sinus lifts and periodontal surgery.

Tadgh White, who works in the building industry from Co Cork, experienced a fall when he was young and was never confident with his teeth after they were damaged. “When it happened, I went to see a dentist, but because there wasn’t a lot of options to get suitable treatment for a young child at that time, I never got anything done to my teeth.

“After hearing good things about Kreativ Dental Clinic, I got in touch with the Irish representative of the clinic, Mary Flanagan. I booked flights, went for a free consultation and proceeded with the treatment. When it was finished, I was delighted with the results and how professional the Kreativ Dental team was. Compared to what I would have been paying in Ireland, I made significant savings and I feel more confident than I have ever felt in my life.”

Irish representative of Kreativ Dental Clinic, Mary Flanagan has first-hand experience, being a patient herself nine years ago. She received extensive dental treatment, including dental implants, porcelain crowns and gnathological treatment, and describes her experience and results as the "best thing she has ever done for herself in her life." Mary's passion and enthusiasm for Kreativ Dental Clinic is very reassuring and comforting for the patient.

Kreativ Dental Clinic’s prices are, on average, 60pc cheaper than in Ireland. The consultation and initial X-ray are free, and aftercare is provided to all patients. Mary Flanagan, says, “I was told by an Irish dentist that getting work done in Ireland would cost up to €60,000.

“I had so many problems with dentists and my teeth over the years, until I was advised to visit Kreativ Dental Clinic by a retired Irish dentist. I ended up having eight implants and 26 porcelain crowns fitted at the much lower price-tag of €12,000, plus €400 for my flights.”

Since the clinic’s inception, a second clinic called Kreativ Dental 2 opened its doors in 2015. Located beside the first clinic, it was built to help manage the high demand from patients worldwide. Now, Kreativ Dental is in the process of building a state-of-the-art hospital, the first-of-its-kind in Europe. This is where people who have had complex dental procedures and require general anaesthetic or sedation, can be treated by experts and take some time to recover – as with any medical procedure in a regular hospital. This unique service is set to open in early 2020.

Making plans

After the initial consultation, and after you are provided with your treatment plan, you can either decide there and then in the clinic if you would like to begin treatment or take some time to think it through. Mary Flanagan can best advise clients on when and how to secure the best value flights to Budapest. She can also organise free airport transfers, and book the clinic appointments and hotel accommodation.

“You can arrange your own flights for whenever suits you best,” says Mary. “However, always check with me that there are available appointments in the clinic prior to booking your flights, as the clinic could be booked up 4-5 weeks in advance. The month of November is already booked up, so if you want an appointment for December or in 2020, you’ll need to get booking as soon as possible!”

The festive season is also a perfect time to take in the city of Budapest, with the Christmas markets chock full of food stalls and handcrafted goods. Meanwhile, if you want to relax after the hectic Christmas festivities, visit the city’s legendary baths in the new year, particularly the most famous, Szechenyi Baths. Time to get planning!
