A Hungarian dental clinic that has become a popular destination for Irish patients has just been announced as the International Dental Clinic of the Year 2018.

Kreativ Dental Clinic in Budapest has won a major international medical tourism award for their achievements in attracting international patients to Budapest, Hungary. The clinic was given the award by the medical travel publication, International Medical Travel Journal, at their annual IMTJ Medical Travel Awards 2018.

The prestigious awards, which took place at the Hellenic Motor Museum, Athens, celebrate innovation and excellence in the medical travel, medical tourism and health tourism industry. The event brings together leading healthcare providers and medical tourism experts from around the world and Attila Knott, owner of Kreativ Dental Clinic, says it is a huge honour to be awarded.

A huge honour

“We are very pleased with this achievement as leader in dental tourism,” says Attila. “It is motivating for our staff and reassuring for our patients to know they are in the right place where the best possible treatment is available. I am honoured that IMTJ has recognised our efforts and hard work by presenting us with the title of Dental Clinic of the Year. We hope that due to this, more new patients will discover us, and we can help improve their quality of life by providing them with comprehensive long-term dental care.”

The clinic was also named ‘International Dental Clinic of the Year 2017 – Europe’ at the GHP Private Healthcare Awards last year. But, it is not just those within industry who are recognising Kreativ Dental Clinic as one of the international dentistry leaders - patients are on-board too.

Today, more and more people are choosing to go abroad for dental care. In the last year, approximately 5,000 patients from Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK, along with patients worldwide, travelled to Kreativ Dental Clinic.

To meet with this demand, a second clinic called Kreativ Dental 2 was built next to the first clinic, and a third clinic is now being built. The third clinic is expected to open early next year.

Why are people choosing Kreativ Dental Clinic? One of the main reasons Irish people are travelling to Budapest is because you can often get treatment abroad for a fraction of the price you would pay in Ireland and the quality of treatments exceeds patients’ expectations. At Kreativ Dental Clinic, savings of approximately 60pc can be made, while consultations are free. You can also claim your tax back, similar to visiting an Irish dentist.

Patients can make huge savings

Mary Flanagan, who is the Irish representative of Kreativ Dental Clinic, was once a past patient and could not believe the savings she made when she first visited the clinic.

Over the space of 10 years, Mary had root canal treatments, crowns fitted which later fell out, and eight teeth extracted in Ireland, due to the failure of her root canals.

“I was told by an Irish dentist that my only option was dentures, and another told me getting work done would cost up to €60,000. When I was advised to visit Kreativ Dental Clinic by a retired Irish dentist, I was initially apprehensive about making the journey to Budapest. But, I can now say that I’m so glad that I did.

“At Kreativ Dental Clinic, I ended up having eight implants and 26 porcelain crowns fitted at the much lower price-tag of €12,000, plus €400 for my flights.”

Not only did Mary save money, but she arrived home with a new-found confidence, after years about being paranoid about her teeth.

“I was also able to chew certain solid foods which I found painful to chew before. Because of my treatment, I have returned to a stable, healthy diet.”

Kreativ Dental Clinic’s oral surgeons and dental specialists have years of experience doing treatments such as implants, root canals, and full porcelain crowns, along with many other treatments.

The friendly team are known to make your experience at Kreativ Dental a comfortable one and, for those who may have a fear of dentists, the atmosphere of the clinic has a big part to play in calming nerves. The main reception floor has a large, circular aquarium in the middle and surrounding this are single couches which have tablet computers to keep waiting patients occupied. On the top floor, there is the Sky Café, where patients can relax and view the scenery of the local area below.

As well as reassuring patients, Mary’s role as Irish representative is to advise clients on when and how to secure the best value flights to Budapest.

“I help to organise free airport transfers, as well as booking the clinic appointments and hotel accommodation. You can arrange your own flights for whenever suits you and the clinic best.

“Try to book your flights at least two months beforehand, as the clinic does fill up quickly. And, the sooner flights are booked, the less expensive it will be,” says Mary.

So, start your dental journey and book a consultation to find out whether you will need dental treatment and what is best for you. Contact Mary and she will help to organise flights and accommodation near Kreativ Dental Clinic.
