Baltinglass tighten grip on Division 1
Dunne Cup holders firing on all cylinders
Baltinglass continue to rule the roost in Division 1 of the SFL.
Another big win in Hollywood on Sunday evening leaves them still clear at the top of the table with full points and looking good to retain their Dunne Cup title for another year.
The 10 point margin at the finish will also boost their score difference, should they ever need it.
Hollywood are also doing well in the league and in the top group but this result will come as a set back and may see them drop out of the top six in the table.
Early points by Joey Kelly and John McGrath got Baltinglass off to a good start but Hollywood were defending well at that stage.
More points by Jason Kennedy and Alan Nolan stretched the lead but Hollywood were still hanging in.
At half time the score was Baltinglass 0-7; Hollywood 0-4 and it was still all to play for.
However when the chips were down it was Baltinglass that had the strength in dept. Baltinglass pulled steadily away in the second half and the result was soon out of doubt.
In all no less than 10 of the Slaneysiders got on the score sheet.
Hollywood are still fielding under strength teams and are still depending almost totally on Tony Hannon for scores.
Scorers for Baltinglass were Joey Kelly 0-5; John McGrath 0-3; David Faulkner 0-2;, Adam Fleming, Jason Kennedy, Alan Nolan, Henry Sinnott, Paudie Swinbourne, James and Ian Sheerin 0-1 each
Hollywood - Tony Hannon 0-5; Brendan O'Shea and Ciaran Tyrrell 0-1 each.
