BRAY NATIVE Darren Randolph has been sent on a one month emergency loan deal to League Two side Bury.

Randolph, who has had previous loan spells with Accrington Stanley and Gillingham, joined the club on Friday morning and was thrust straight into action on Saturday, playing the full 90 minutes in his new side's 2-1 win over Bradford City in what was Bury's first win since November 17th.

The former Ardmore Rovers schoolboy's clean sheet was ruined by a Peter Thorne header in the 22nd minute.

The 62 keeper has been a backup for Alan Pardew's first choice stopper Nicky Weaver so far this season, but he will be hoping to impress the people at Charlton Athletic over the next month.

It has been a busy week for the former Presentation College Bray student, as he was in goals for Ireland U-21's against England on Tuesday night.

Bury fans will be hoping Randolph can keep the goals out for their side, as they are currently lying in 31st place in the table, just two points from the relegation zone. Randolph was expected to make his home debut last night (Tuesday 12th February) against Wycombe Wanderers.

He will also be hoping to face Stockport County, Darlington, Peterborough before his loan spells finishes after a home match against Morecambe.
