Mikey Lee transfers to Tipp club for 2018
Former Wicklow hurler Mikey Lee has transferred to Tipperary club Upperchurch-Drumbane for 2018.
The Bray native was an attacking star for Bray Emmets during their dominant spell that saw them secure a three-in-a-row of Wicklow senior titles and his departure from the club will be a major loss to Paul Carley ahead of the 2018 campaign.
However, Lee has declared for Wicklow and would be available for the county should his services be required in the future.
Mikey has moved to Tipperary and is believed to have already lined out for the Premier club, home to current Tipperary manager Michael Ryan and senior player James Barry.
Lee holds the record for highest tally ever scored for Wicklow after he bagged 2-14 (2-5 from play, seven frees, one 65, one sideline cut) against Kildare in a Christy Ring Cup clash in 2014. He bagged 6-100 in total for the county that year.
