Ladies storm to victory to make it two wins from two
Wicklow's lady footballers put on a five-star show in Blessington against neighbours Carlow in the second round of the National Ladies League Division 4 last Sunday afternoon.

Mick O'Rourke's charges hit the ground running with Molly Cullen registering the opening score with a point after 28 seconds.
Kilbride's Claire Walsh added a second with a sweet left foot effort after linking up well with Molly Cullen.
Jackie Kinch and Claire Walsh were in total control of the midfield area and their distribution of the ball was excellent, as the big open pitch was suiting the home sides style of football.
An Tochar's Amy Byrne hit Wicklow's third point after good work by both midfielders and then Laura Hogan of Tinahely kicked an almighty point as Carlow could not live with Wicklow.
Clara's Katie Miley hit her first score off the game with a point in the fifth minute as Wicklow lead 0-05 to no score.
Laura Hogan overturned possession from a Carlow lineball and found Claire Walsh with a sublime pass and Walsh fired high into the roof of the Carlow net for the opening goal of the match.
Carlow finally got the ball past the Wicklow midfield stronghold, however Ballon's Orlaigh Hickey's effort dropped short into Kim Connors arms and the Wicklow goalkeeper cleared her line well.
Laura Hogan pointed a free as Wicklow sensed blood and went for the jugular. Molly Cullen was noted by the referee for fouling before the game was put to bed as Wicklow obliterated the visitors in the second quarter of the half.
Amy Murphy and Katie Miley both pointed. Carlow's Cliodhna Ni She was battling hard for her team , but to no avail. Claire Walsh kicked two unbelievably inspirational points, both from 55 meters out, clinically splitting the posts each time.
Wicklow were spraying beautiful passes all over the field and Carlow could not live with the home side.
Blessington's Molly Cullen picked up a yellow card for persistent fouling and was sinbinned. Tinahely's Ciara Byrne added a brace of points before her clubmates Jackie Kinch and Laura Hogan closed out the scoring with a point each to leave the half time score 1- 14 to nil.
The Wicklow management team introduced a number of subs for the restart, however it was the visitors who started the second half the brighter.
A Cliodhna Ni She goalbound shot was brilliantly cleared off the line by Sarah Fennelly to deny Carlow a goal. Full-forward Aoibheann Byrne kicked Carlow's first score in the 31st minute after good work by Edel Hayden.
However, up the other end Laura Aherne found Katie Miley with a precision pass and Miley dispatched the ball to the net.
Cliodhna Ni She pointed a free for Carlow before Shauna Bermingham brought off a point blank save from a Ellen Atkinson effort.
The Wicklow ladies were playing good penetrating direct football through the heart of the Carlow defence. Laura Hogan goaled while Amy Murphy and Naoise Baker each pointed. Amy Murphy hit a brace of goals before Laura Hogan and Amy Murphy closed out the scoring with a point each.
Manager Mick O'Rourke and his management team will be delighted with two wins out of two played, and a good home crowd of supporters, but knows a tough away game to Fermanagh will be a sterner test for his charges next time out.
