Hundreds of children dressed up in their most frightening costume to provoke plenty of scares in Wicklow town last Saturday.

Anyone unfamiliar with the annual Trick or Treat on the Street could be forgiven for believing they had stumbled across some unholy Zombie apocalypse as the undead appeared to have taken over Wicklow's capital town.

The annual event has proved increasingly popular and is organised by Foróige Way Project in association with participating local retailers

Children and parents, registered at the De La Salle Pastoral centre and received a treasure trail featuring stops at local businesses.

Once registered, you will receive a treasure trail, featuring approximately 15 stops at local businesses. Children had to answer a question at each stop before moving on to the next shop.

The Foróige WAY Project is a Garda Youth Diversion Project in Wicklow Town that works with over 30 young people weekly, to involve themselves consciously and actively in their development and in the development of society. The project works with young people aged 12 to 17 years and offers opportunities for education and employment training.
