Toastmasters duo are through to next stage
Several members of Wicklow Toastmasters progress onto the next stage of the International Speech and Evaluation competition, to be held in Bray on Monday, March 25, at 8 p.m..
Will Doyle came first in the International Speech and Evaluation competition run by Wicklow Toastmasters and held upstairs in the Bridge Tavern last Thursday night. He will now go forward to represent the club at the next level of the competition taking place in Bray.
Deirdre McGrath will be the Wicklow Toastmasters representative in the evaluation competition. Their fellow club members wish them both success on their journey.
The Wicklow Toastmasters club competition attracted great interest among new and experienced members alike, with Justin Doyle entering both competitions for the first time and achieving third place in both contests.
Wicklow Toastmasters exists to help people learn the skills and gain confidence around public speaking and leadership. The club meets every second Thursday night for an evening of fun, learning and of course public speaking in a safe, encouraging and friendly environment. Guests are always welcome.
