Pure Wicked animations

THE PURE (Protecting Uplands and Rural Environments) has just launched six short animations related to environmental themes.

The films were created over the summer during the PURE WICKED animation training programme. Participants developed and created their own animations focusing on problems such as illegal dumping, recycling, pollution and climate change. The initiative was run in conjunction with the County Wicklow Film Commission and supported by the Courthouse Arts Centre.

Ian Davis of PURE is delighted with the results.

'PURE WICKED has been a great success and all credit is due to the students and the facilitators who were involved. They have created six really inspiring animations in such a short space of time. Each one has an important environmental message but they are also very funny, clever and inspiring shorts. As part of the PURE project education and awareness is an important aspect.
