Maths competition adds up to a great event

The bright young minds were on their A-game as the final of the Irish Junior Maths competition took place at Blessington Community College recently.

An extremely tough competition was reflected in the final scores, with a number of students finishing very close together.

In the end, Daniel Shiel from Coláiste Bhríde was crowned the winner, followed in joint-second place by David Ryan (Coláiste Bhríde) and Ines Serrano (Blessington Community College). Kyle Kelly from Blessington Community College took the final step on the podium with a strong third-place finish.

The organisers at Blessington Community College thoroughly enjoyed hosting the competitive but fun contest and look forward to taking part in the event associated with the Irish Maths Teacher Association (IMTA) in the future.
