The Arklow Community First Responders were delighted to receive support from two generous donor recently following fundraising initiatives.

Group representatives met with Anthony and Arlette Doyle from Fernhill to accept the proceeds of their Hallowe'en House of Horrors fundraiser.

A total of €1104.50 was raised on this occasion.

A second donation of €1,295 was received from Beech Road Community Alert Group which held an afternoon tea event at the AGB GAA complex.

John Summers of Arklow Community First Responders said that the group was very grateful for the support.

'We were delighted and extremely grateful to receive these generous donations. We would like to express our sincere thanks to both parties. These donations will help us greatly in our aim in placing Public Access Defibrillators around our town and should a cardiac emergency happen the patient would have the best possible chance of a positive outcome. We are at currently in the process of securing a suitable location for Arklow's 8th Public Access Defibrillator and we hope to launch it in the coming weeks,' he said.
