Fun run a success for hospital
The community of Baltinglass came out in force recently to raise funds for a cause close to the hearts of many local families.
Baltinglass GAA Club organised a family friendly fun run and walk in aid of Baltinglass Hospital Patient Comfort Fund and a large number of people turned up to show support.
The 5k event took place on St Stephen's Day and was the perfect way to blow away the Christmas cobwebs.
Young and old, pushchairs and scooters covered the event circuit and there was plenty of laughing and good spirits along the way.
Some participants ran, some walked and some strolled, but everyone finished the race and made it back to the clubhouse in once piece.
Baltinglass GAA Club was delighted with the turnout and extended thanks to everyone who took part.
A total of €720 was raised.
The organisers wish to extend thanks to Gino, who created the signs and to Glanbia which provided warming refreshments which were enjoyed after the event.
