Hidden Valley offered the perfect Saturday getaway for the whole family as the Rathdrum based holiday park held a Fun Day for Wicklow Hospice.

Kids were kept happy with plenty of entertainment, while parents could enjoy a nice meal from the Lakeshore Restaurant.

There was plenty of clowning about from Anna Bananas as she engaged in party games with the youngsters. There was also face paining and live music to enjoy.

The eagerly awaited duck race attracted plenty of interest as hundreds of the little yellow 'quackers' roared down the Avonmore river. Rathdrum South Anglers Club, Tommy Driver and his two nephews ensured all the ducks made it across the finishing line, with prizes for the first six to finish.

The three hour event ended up raising €849 for the Wicklow Hospice Foundation.
