Credit Union art competition
Wicklow and District Credit Union Ltd is encouraging creative young people in the district to enter the annual Credit Union Art Competition.
This year's theme is the 'Force of Nature'.
The competition is one of the most successful promotions run by the Credit Union movement, attracting huge numbers of entries each year.
The competition requires entrants to draw or paint posters on the theme using pencil, charcoal, pen or ink, felt-tip markers, crayon, pastel, water colours, gouache, acrylics, oils, poster colour or collage.
Entries must be submitted on A3 or A2 by Friday, October 21 with fully completed entry form attached.
There are two categories - general and special - with five age groups in each: seven years and under, eight to ten years, eleven to 13 years, 14 to 17 years, and 18 years and over. The Special category also has a further Group section. There are three stages with the winner of each category being forwarded to the next stage.
The Special Category encouraged participants with a physical or intellectual disability to submit entries in free expression without the restriction of the competition's official 'Force of Nature' theme if they so wish. Entry forms are available from the Wicklow and District Credit Union Ltd.
