The Local Enterprise Office will be well represented at the National Ploughing Championships this year, with two County Wicklow companies ready to take their place in the Local Enterprise Village.
Flying the flag for the Garden County will be Amy Sherwin of POPZLE in Greystones, a pop-out greeting card company, and Una Lambert of Rathdangan's Neantog, a new skincare product with Irish nettles as an active ingredient.
Supported by LEOs across the country, 85 small businesses will take part in the enterprise village and exhibit their products to the thousands of visitors to the National Ploughing Championships.
Noting that the 'Local Enterprise Village' has doubled in size in recent years, Sheelagh Daly from Wicklow LEO described it as 'the ideal gateway to customers across farming communities and rural Ireland. Many of the small businesses being supported by the Local Enterprise Offices will be testing new products and services in September, which, in turn, will generate more jobs within those companies in the near future.'
The National Ploughing Championships take place from September 22 to 24 at Ratheniska, Stradbally, Co Laois.
