Appeal against 15 houses is withdrawn
Permission has been granted for the construction of 15 houses in Stratford on Slaney after an appeal against the development was withdrawn.
Applicant Aidan Garica Diza applied for planning permission for 20 dwellings all together at a site behind Hillview in Stratford on Slaney from Wicklow County Council in January of last year. In August of this year, Wicklow County Council granted permission for 15 houses, along with associated site works, site boundary treatments, landscaping incorporating connection to Hillview by road and connection into the existing mains water, surface water and foul water system in the estate.
An appeal was submitted with An Bord Pleanála in September asking to take into account Wicklow County Council's decision to refuse a single dwelling application on part of the same site back in 2004. However, that appeal was withdrawn on October 18, allowing for the original planning to stand.
