The August bank holiday wouldn't be the same in Wicklow without the Tinahely Show which takes place at Fairwood Park from 10.30 a.m. on Monday, August 6.

Thousands of spectators are set to descend on the venue which celebrates everything that is good about rural life.

A small army of volunteers has been working tirelessly since last year's show to ensure that plans are coming together for a day to remember.

From livestock, equestrian and crafts to food, family entertainment and live music, there is something for every taste at the show, and whether a rural dweller or not, it is a day not to be missed.

For show day, the green fields of Tinahely are transformed into a small town, with an array of sections to be explored.

Whether visitors are interested in commercial and trade stands, or want to seek a motorbike or sheaf tossing demonstration, tractor pulling or dog show - the show has it all.

The IFA Food from our Farms marquee is expecting an exciting line-up of food producers, many with samples of their produce on offer.

Judging will be taking place for a large portion of the day, later making way to evening entertainment featuring headline act Declan Nerney.
