€150m Newtown housing scheme
Newtownmountkennedy should experience a major economic boost with plans for a residential development costing over €150 million.
Tower Homes aim to build at least 80 homes each year on the site for the next ten years.
'Wicklow Hills' will take shape in a number of small individually designed developments within the Bord Pleanala approved master plan.
Showhouses in Wicklow Hills are available to view this Saturday and Sunday, April 25 and 26, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m..
Delgany firm BBA are the architects for the scheme and planned facilities include 30 acres of central parkland, a fitness trail, community football pitches, fishing lake, wild flower meadows, crèche and childcare facilities.
There is also a 10 acre site adjacent reserved for Educational use. The landscape architects are Brady Shipman Martin.
Sherry FitzGerald New Homes and Park Auctioneers will handle the sale of the scheme.
This weekend will see the grand opening of four showhomes with keen prices just announced for the first 30 homes.
A two bed mid-terrace costs €195,000, a three bed townhouse will cost €215,000, a three bed terrace €240,000, a three bed semi detached €240,000 and a four bed semi detached €269,000.
