The Scoil Chonglais first year girls Basketball team who are the current Midland Champions, left Baltinglass on a Sunday evening to travel to Boyle Co. Roscommon in preparation for the all-Ireland playoffs which were held in Abbey Community College in Boyle on Monday, April 23.

Three matches were played in total throughout the day. The team started off very strong with an exciting first win over Scoil Mhuire from Trim. The next two matches did not go their way, but the team put in valiant performances keeping their travelling supporters on the edge of their seats. They narrowly missed out to Abbey Community College and Jesus and Mary, Gortnor Abbey.

It was a great experience for the girls involved and everyone in Scoil Chonglais is extremely proud of how far they've come and what they have achieved this year.

A special thanks to their coach Ms Morrissey and all those who travelled to support them on the day. Congratulations and well done.
