Massive talent competition for youngsters

Arklow Community Games is on the hunt for talent. This year the community games is celebrating 39 years and they are looking for a large number of people to take part in the area talent activity.

This competition is open to girls and boys living in the Arklow area and under the age specified on July 31. Competitors may enter only one event in their own age group.

Entry fee is €5 and the closing date for entries is Saturday April 8

The events are: Solo Recitation over six and under 12 and 16 years; solo music over six and under 12 and 16 years; solo singing over six and under 12 and 16 years; solo dance Modern/Disco over six and under 12 and 16 years; group drama over six and under 12 and 16 years; group music over six and under 12 and 16 years; group singing over six and under 12 and 16 years; group dance modern/disco over six and under 12 and 16 years; group dance Irish contemporary over six and under 12 and 16 years.

To enter please leave your €5 entry fee with the competitors name, address, date of birth, home telephone number, event of their choice to area PRO James O'Reilly in 17 Fernhill, Arklow, on or before Saturday April 8.

For rules and criteria, log onto www.communitygames.ie. The county finals will take place in Glenealy on Saturday May 14 and the national finals will take place at the National Sports Campus, Abbotstown, on August 18 and August 19.
