Friday, September 22, was a big day for the Glennon family from Hollywood when son Joe was among 181 new Gardaí who passed out at Templemore Training College

Joe represents the third generation of his family to join the Gardaí. His grandfather also Joe Glennon, joined the force 70 years ago back in 1947 and his uncle Patsy Glennon joined in 1978. Joe Glennon senior served as Sergeant in Hollywood for many years up till his death in 1974 while Patsy is still serving in the force as an Inspector in Naas.

Young Joe Glennon is being assigned to Tallaght Garda Station. I would like to wish him all the best in his new career.
