A member of Wicklow Triathlon Club rubbed shoulders with Hollywood royalty after bumping into actor Matt Damon while preparing for an upcoming Ironman event.
Damon flew into Dublin with his wife, Luciana Barrosa, and their children, Isabella, Gia and Stella, in early March to film Ridley Scott's new movie The Last Duel and have been living in Formula 1 star Eddie Irvine's house ever since Covid-19 restrictions were introduced.
Fiona Brennan was out training in Killiney, South Dublin, last Wednesday, when she bumped into the star as he was out on a stroll with his wife Luciana.
The actor happily posed for a selfie, while adhering to social distancing guidelines, and amiably chatted away to Fiona, who is a big fan of his work.
He seemed impressed when Fiona mentioned she was training for an Iron Man event, and commented that his brother had completed eleven Iron Man challenges. The actor added that he had taken part in a relay triathlon in 2008.
Damon seems to be enjoying life in the south Dublin suburb. On Friday the A-lister recorded a clip of himself congratulating the sixth class girls of Loreto Abbey on what would have been their final day in school.
