Students of Coláiste Chill Mhantáin are about to release a fundraising single which singer-songwriter Luan Parle helped bring to life.

Back in April, Luan teamed up with Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) to bring five songwriting and performance workshops to secondary schools throughout Ireland.

Under Luan's guidance, the second and sixth year students wrote and dedicated their song, 'Your Love Still Guides My Way', to loved ones suffering from stroke, Alzheimer's and other illnesses.

Impressed by the song and the students' ability to play, Luan brought producer Gavin Ralston into the mix to record the students performing their song.

'Your Love Still Guides My Way' will be released digitally on September 22 and all the proceeds will be donated to The Alzheimer Society of Ireland and The Irish Heart Foundation. Luan has sent her thanks to IMRO, Silverwood Studios, Colm Flynn, Elaine Porter and the students and teachers.
