Many students took the journey over to bray for cross country on 25th October. The race was between each year group from different schools all over wicklow. Students from our school took part in most of the races. In the end coming home we had numerous medal winners. Such as: Molly Cullen- 6 th place , Jamie Friel- 1st place, Martin Shannon- 3rd place, David Bird- 2 nd place, Dara Richardson- 4th place.

We also won group medals. The senior Boys in 3rd place:Alex Lynch, Nicholas nodlovu,Demis Bakunas and Jack Mills. The second year Boys in 2nd place: David Bird, Dara Richardson, Derek Boud, Daniel sarkauskas, Wiklor Audek. The third year boys in 3rd place: Martin Shannon, Evan Smith, Domantus Sutkus, Aaron Lowe and Eoghan Roe.

On Tuesday 6th November. Our senior Boys Gaelic football team took part in their first competitive outing of the school year. We travelled to play Colaiste Raithin in Bray in the Wicklow VEC 'B' competition.

We are playing in the 'B' competition due to lack of numbers of senior boys interested in playing with the school. This is unfortunate as some of our players are already representing the county at their age group. We had a comprehensive victory over a good spirited Colaiste side. We are now in the semi-final, date and opposition are still unknown.

On Monday 12th November Blessington Community College will host the second round of the Concern Debates competition. The debating team will propose the motion that "The people of the developed world are responsible for the poverty in the developing world". Opposition on the night is from Colaiste Eanna, Ballyboden in Dublin.

Our team will be hoping to repeat the success of the first debate where they successfully opposed the motion that "The world has more to fear from President Romney than President Obama". Let's hope President Obama can prove them wrong! Monday's debate begins at 8pm sharp in Blessington Community College, please contact the school if you would be interested in attending, all are welcome.

Beidh tús an comórtas díospóireachta Gael Linn ar siúil dé Luain, 19 Samhain. Beidh foireann iontach ó Pobalscoil Bhaile Coimín ag labhairt i gcoinne an rún "Tá sé ceart go mbeadh cead ag Seandóirí agus ag Teachtaí Dála do rogha eadaí a chaitheamh i dTithe an Oireachtais." Rún an-shuimiúil, gan amhras. Beidh triúr as an idirbhlian, Molly Cullen, Ellen Walsh agus Amy Nugent ag plé leis an rúin seo agus ag dornalaíocht go fíochmhar le foireann ó Cholásite Pobail Naomh Caoimhín, Dún Luáin. Gaisce deacair atá i gceist gan dabht ach níl aon amhras ach go mbeidh na cailíní go hiontach agus go mbainfidh siad anchuid sult as an eachtra.

Only 1 week back and already our transition years have had a busy schedule. Tuesday Novenber 6th they were introduced to how pottery works. They saw pictures of the machines used to make and dry the clay, and then had a chance to make their own masterpieces. They all had a great time making cups, candleholders and of course a few Christmas tree decorations for this year's tree.
