Come along and support Homegrown, Homemade and Handcraft in our community by shopping local at the Cottage Market. For children of all ages join in our workshop creating a hand-crafted Santa letter to be posted in our special North Pole Postbox. The successful and long-established Stagebratz starz are excited to bring their well-renowned theatre classes to Glenealy Village Hall. Offering jam-packed weekly classes of singing, dancing, Acting and musical Theatre for four to 17 years, there is something to appeal to everyone. With shows, Performances and competitions each year, we focus on bringing out the confidence and love of the stage in every little star. The Christmas fair in Glenealy village hall is on Sunday, December 2, from midday to 4 p.m. Some great craft stalls, home made cakes stall and much more, tea or coffee and home-made mince pies on offer, santa will be here in his grotto arriving at 2 p.m. A lovely festive atmosphere, put this date in your diary and hope to see you here. Glenealy Cottage Market
The cottage market Glenealy located in the Glenealy Garden Centre, takes place every Saturday from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. The market features local and organic vegetables, freshly baked breads, cakes and savouries, as well as jams, chutneys and tarts. Locally produced wild honey is on offer as are healthy Aloe products. Beautiful wood turned pieces, artisan gifts such as delicate dried flower crafts, tea, coffee and healthy snacks are also available. So come along, support local Wicklow producers and enjoy the atmosphere in our little cottage market. New stall holders are always welcome.
New Pilates classes
There is New Pilates classes starting in Glenealy Village Hall on Tuesday evenings from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday mornings starting Friday, September 14, at 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. Beginners/improvers and all ages welcome. Seven classes for €70 or drop-in-rate €12. Pilates strengthens core muscles, improves muscle control, flexibility, co-ordination, strength and tone, as well as alignment and breathing. Gymboree play and music classes every Tuesday mornings at 11 a.m. in Glenealy Village Hall. suitable for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers from six months - four years. Teach your child a love of music through songs, dance, movement fun and musical instruments, exploring various different music styles. Booking is essential as places are limited. The Saturdays playgroup will be back in Glenealy village on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to midday. Fun play for pre-school children and up. Cost is €3 per family.

St Anthony's Church
A Remembrance Mass for all the deceased buried from St Anthony's Church over the past 50 years will be celebrated on November 30, at 7.30pm.
The fair which is in aid of Greystones Resource Centre takes place in the Mill Room on Sunday, November 25, from 12.00 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be many stalls including lots of Guess the Weight/Amount games as well as a Bumper Raffle. Community Policing Clinic
The Clinic takes place every Wednesday from 6.00 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Kilcoole Community Centre. Services include crime prevention advice and stamping forms as well as most other Garda services.

Pride of Place Award
The community of Rathdrum was overjoyed and very proud to learn that their town won the Pride of Place Award 2018. This award is recognition and reward for all those who contributed to Rathdrum winning the competition. A huge thanks to all involved. The award is a significant boost to the town.
The judges' citation ended 'The judges can confidently predict a great future for this warm and welcoming town.'.
Gold Medal Winner
Warmest congratulations to Mick Byrne of Parnell Athletic Club in Rathdrum on winning a gold medal for Ireland in the five nations cross - country in Wales and also led his team to win a Team Bronze medal. Well done to Mick, a legend and an inspiration. Rathdrum is proud of you.
Parish Sale of Work
The annual parish sale of work and auction will take place in the RDA hall on Sunday, November 25, starting at 2 p.m. On Saturday (24th) the RDA hall will be open to received items for the auction and Sale (no beds, electrical items, prams or buggies please). Raffle tickets are on sale.
Clara Vale Dinner
The annual Clara Vale Church committee dinner dance will take place in the Glendalough Hotel on Friday, December 7, at 8.30 p.m. Music by the Wicklow Man. Tickets €25 available from any Committee Member. Diary Date.
Christmas Carols will be sung in the Parish Church at 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 16. Everyone welcome.
Parnell Athletic Club
We travelled with a small group of athletes to Adamstown County Wexford for the uneven ages Leinster Cross Country. What a great race the under-nine turned out to be with Emma Byrne second and Ella Breen fourth with under eight, Ciara Windertbottom not far behind. Next up was Helen Winterbottom coming 19th in the under-11.
Great running from young Harry Kileen, Lacey Shannon under-15 and Edward Byrne. Pride of place this week must go to our own Mick Byrne on winning the over 55 autumn Internationals in Swansea Wales.
The community of Rathdrum extends their sympathies to the Walsh Family Corballis Demesne on the death of Joan. Paddy, Ann and Maria Hogan, Whitesbridge, on the sad passing of John and the O'Dea family, Ballysheemane on the passing of their mother Nancy.
