Country Weekend at Plucks

What a great weekend for all the family the August Bank Holiday weekend was at Plucks. With a Country theme to it all, the lounge looked like a barn with Hay everywhere, a barbecue outside, Line Dancers with music by Karl Ivers and a Rodeo Bull providing great entertainment for the locals.

Young Peter O'Toole showed fantastic determination to hold of Andrew Molloy to win the Men's and overall champion while Michelle Murray pipped Shauna Kearns to the ladies title in a very competitive rivalry. Sunday was a family day with a big Bouncy Castle for the children rounded off by another barbecue and Karl Ivers playing again.

Many commented on how great it was to see such life and the community coming together in the village for a great two days so well done Caroline and Shane McNamara and not forgetting the hard working staff of Plucks for hosting a very memorable August Bank Holiday.

Also, we cannot forget Jamie Sinnott and Kevin Molloy, who are home on Holiday from Australia and hosted an engagement party for family and friends on Saturday night also. Jamie and Kevin make a lovely couple and we would like to wish them both every happiness for the future.

And a final long lasting memory of the weekend; must be Andrew Molloy dancing with a bale of hay on the shoulder to Nathan Carters 'Wagon Wheel', you and that bale also made a nice couple Andrew.
