Donard: CCE Donard. Music Classes resume in Donard NS on September 12. All Instruments taught except the harp, as we have no harp to lend to students. We hope to have many beginners - as they are very welcome. Further information can be had from 086 0645291.

Cemetery Mass

The annual cemetery Mass in Davidstown will take place on Sunday, September 8, at 11 o'clock in the church.

If you know anybody living outside the area, who has family or relatives buried in that cemetery, you might like to let them know. Coffee morning.

The annual hospice coffee morning will take place on Thursday, September 19, at Pat and Eric Hanbidge's home, Donard Upper, from 10 a.m. till midday. All money raised will be sent to St Brigid's Hospice on the Curragh.

Dunlavin

Dunlavin Flower Club

'Autumn Glory' a demonstration by Ali Keogh will take place on Wednesday, September 11, at 8 p.m. in the Jonathan Swift School Hall. All welcome, supper served.

Dunlavin Climate Change Project

Next outing to Moyleabbey Farm, Ballitore on September 5 at 5.30 p.m. There will also be information on the Extinction Rebellion.

Sponsored Climb up Lugnaquilla

A sponsored walk in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland will take place on Sunday, September 22. It is the ninth year of the walk and hopefully people will support it again this year. For more information contact Liz Gibbons at 087 9670240.

CREATIVE DRAMA GROUP

Creative drama encourages children to be and express themselves; develop their confidence; use their imagination; learn how to collaborate and create with others; make friends and have lots of fun.

Activities include: Fun drama games and exercises; Improvisation and storytelling; Creating characters; Movement; Prop and puppet making; Drawing, Painting and other making activities.

There will be a fun free taster session on Thursday, September 19, from 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Imaal Hall. To register text/call Carol at 086 3553026 with your child's name and age.

Course Details - Dates and Times: Thursdays 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. starting October 3 for eight weeks (NB no class on October 31). at Imaal Hall, Co. Wicklow. Age: 6-10 years. Cost: €120. Sibling discount available (€100 per child if siblings).

Set dancing Classes

Set dancing classes will take place in Donard Hall on September 9 at 8.30 p.m.

Music Classes will recommence on Thursday, September 12, at 8 p.m. in Donard National School. New members welcome to come along.

Alarms scheme

Dunlavin and District Forum are delighted to partner with Dunlavin Friendship Club in availing of a scheme being rolled out by Muintir na Tire. This scheme allows for the provision of carbon monoxide alarms in houses that don't already have them. Alarms will be provided and installed free of charge with a maximum of two per household.

This Muintir na Tire programme is aimed at persons who do not have existing alarms and do not have the resources to install alarms themselves. We would particularly invite those over 65 to avail of the scheme.

Friendship Club

The friendship club meet every Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the parish centre. New members always welcome.

Breastfeeding Support

Dunlavin Breastfeeding Support Group meet in Seomra in the Imaal Hall every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to midday. Details from Alice at 085 1699425.

Defibrillators

Important Notice - for everyone using Dunlavin GAA grounds. A Life Saving Defibrillator has now been erected outside dressing room no one.

Defibrillators can also be located in the following locations throughout the town: Outside Centra; Scoil Niocláis Naofa; St Kevin's Community College Dunlavin Health Centre; Dunlavin Bacon Factory; Dunlavin First Responders.

Music Under the Mountain

Sinéad O'Brien Dance School

Hollywood GAA

The Hollywood GAA Club lotto draw results August 21. The number drawn were 4, 17, 19 and 28. There was no winner of the jackpot. The seller's prize went to Niamh Brophy 722.

The €50 winners were Sinéad Phibbs 54, Marie Harkin 88, Emma Burke online 43. The next draw for a jackpot of €11,400 will be held in the Tutty's on Wednesday, September 4. Walking and Trails Group

The Hollywood Walking and Trails Group meet every Tuesday evening in the lovely village of Hollywood at 7 p.m. outside Tutty's Pub. Our regular walks include the Hollywood Forest, White Bog and the Hollywood Loop talking in part of St Kevin's Way to Church Mt. We also have Wellness Walks for those who like a level steady pace; these walks include the Hollywood Glen, part of the Forest walk and the Hollywood Heritage Trail.

Ideal walks for beginners and those who are building their fitness levels, or for people who simply want to walk for an hour and enjoy the flora and fauna along with the companionship of other walkers. Weekend walks take place once a month, the date and venue is confirmed by the team leaders in advance at our Tuesday walks.

The Hollywood Walking and Trails Group welcomes all age groups interested in walking, our philosophy is 'We don't stop walking because we are grow old; we grow old because we stop walking'. We also encourage families to come on our walks, children and teenagers less than 18 years under parent supervision and any organisations and clubs who would enjoy an evening out walking.

Currently we don't have a joining fee so come along and enjoy the benefits of walking, getting fit, meeting new people and more important being part of all Hollywood has to offer, a connection with nature to rebalance ones equilibrium in this busy world, beautiful village, delightful scenery, community sprite and pride of place.

WALKING CLUB

The following are the walks for the next two weeks for Tinahely Walking club. September 8: Cullentragh, Lugduff and Mullacor. Level A, 17km, six hours. Meet Tinahely 9.15 a.m. or Glenmalure Hotel car park 10 a.m. September 15: Miners' Way. Level B, 15km, four hours. Meet Tinahely 9.15 a.m. or Glenmalure Hotel car park 10 a.m. As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food and drink. MUSIC CLASSES
