Donard: Walkers. The local Wednesday evening walk from the community hall in Donard starts at 7.30 p.m. Anyone who would like to walk for approximately an hour is very welcome to come along.
Concert in aid of Restoration Fund
TR Dallas will be in concert in Inisfail, Germaine's, Baltinglass on Saturday, November 9. Doors open at 8.30 p.m. Tickets €10 each. This is a

The AGM of Ceoltas Ceoilteoiri Eireann will take place in Donard Community Hall on Monday, November 11, at 7.30 p.m. Everybody is welcome to come along and new members are always welcome.
Have you paid a visit to the brand-new Mobile Library which comes to Donard every second Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 3.40 p.m. approximately? This coincides with school closing time so is ideal for the children to exchange books. The staff, Karen and Peter, are very friendly and helpful if you have difficulty in choosing or finding a book. If it is out of stock, they gladly order it for you. The library is due in Donard again on Wednesday, November 6.
All is quiet on the football front. The ladies team has a Senior Championship to celebrate and the intermediate men's team will celebrate winning a cup and medals. Tickets for this event can be purchased in Toomey's Bar.
It is table quiz time again and the football club will be first up. The time and venue will be known next week.
There was no lotto winner last week. Anne Hynes, Love Joy and TJ and Robbie Harney matched three and won €67 each. The jackpot now stands at €12,000.
Sympathy is extended to the Miley Family, Tober on the death of their mother Annie. Annie, who was predeceased by her husband William and son-in-law Dennis O'Gorman, is mourned by her daughter Ann, sons Michael, Kevin, Billy and Seán and many relatives and friends. Annie's funeral took place in Dunlavin on Tuesday, October 29. May Annie rest in peace.
First Aid Course
A first aid course will commence in Seomra (Imaal Hall) on Wednesday, November 6, for three Wednesdays from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Anyone who is interested, please contact Breda at 086 3598866 to book a place.
The culture bus will leave Dunlavin on December 12 at 5.30 p.m. to travel to the Lyrath Hotel in Kilkenny for the Vladimir's Viennese Christmas Gala. Telephone 087 9693960 if interested.

Sympathy to the family of John Ryan, Grangebeg Dunlavin, Co. Kildare. John, who was predeceased wife Margaret, is mourned by his son Michael, daughters Paula and Arlene. daughter-in-law Fiona, son-in-law Robert, granddaughter Kate, sister Mary, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends. John's funeral took place in Gormanstown on Tuesday, October 15. May John rest in peace.
Every Thursday morning, we meet in An LAR to draw mandalas, paint tiles or create patterns. We use pencils, paints, markers, compasses all under the guidance of Bernie Sheridan from Wexford. She supplies the materials. We chat and have fun and have coffee afterwards. Fee for the classes from 11 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. is €10. Drop in and try it. Trad Music Session
A trad music session takes place on the first Tuesday of every month in An Lar Cafe. Whether you play or just want to listen it is well worth popping in to it. Free of charge and child- friendly. Cosy fire. Next night will be November 5.

The Irish Cancer Society is looking for volunteers to drive patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments in all public hospitals nationwide. A Book Club has started in Kilcullen Parish Centre, running every third Friday of the month. There is a new domestic violence outreach service in West Wicklow provided by Saoirse Women's refuge in Tallaght. It can offer confidential appointments providing support to women suffering from domestic violence in the community, including Court Accompaniment. Dunlavin and District Forum are delighted to partner with Dunlavin Friendship Club in availing of a scheme being rolled out by Muintir na Tire.
This scheme allows for the provision of carbon monoxide alarms in houses that don't already have them. Alarms will be provided and installed free of charge with a maximum of two per household.
This Muintir na Tire programme is aimed at persons who do not have existing alarms and do not have the resources to install alarms themselves. We would particularly invite those over 65 to avail of the scheme.
