Football Club Notes

It was cold and wet when our lads played a friendly against Co. Carlow team, Clonmore on Tuesday last. We were minus quite a few of our first team selection so some of our junior team stepped up a grade for the game. New man, Liam Monaghan played his first game for the club. Welcome aboard Liam. While Clonmore won the game our team on the night gave a good account of themselves. The team was Ray Halloran, Rory Toomey, Alan Tutty, Ronan Conron, Conor Kelly, Harry Mangan, Phil Matuschka, Eoin Kelly, Liam Monaghan, Darren O'Neill, Tommy Dwyer, Oisin Adler, Liam Mullen, Niall Curran and Darren O'Neill.

There was no lotto winner last week. Majella Case and Peter Sully matched three and won 100 euro each. Larry Daly won the seller's prize. The jackpot now stands at €5,700.

Our Division 2 team will have played in Laragh on Sunday morning in the league.

There was a fair crowd at the race night in Moynihan's bar on Friday night. More than €300 was spent on horses bought and sold.

Marty Mone Tickets are on sale in the village at €20 each. This looks like being the biggest show ever held in the village.
