Refurbishment of Holy Redeemer Church and Parish Centre: Thanks to all who have already contributed to our fundraising drive so far. You can return your donations/pledge form to the parish office or drop it into the sacristy at your convenience. Where your contribution exceeds €250 in any one year a refund of tax paid can be claimed by the parish from Revenue under the Charitable Donations Scheme. The parish office will make the necessary arrangements to make this claim.
Signed Mass Cards: Are looked after by the priests of the parish and are available only in the parish office or in the sacristy.
Masses for the Beginning of January 2019: Today (Wednesday) to Saturday: 10 a.m. only. No Evening Mass. Sunday, January 6: 9 a.m. 10.30 a.m., midday, and 6 p.m.; Next Monday to Friday, January 11: 10 a.m. Mass only. No Evening Mass.
The Coffee Dock: The Coffee Dock is closed and will re-open next Monday after the 10 a.m. Mass.

Our Lady Queen of Peace Bethany Bereavement Support Group: Will have an additional drop in morning at the Villa Pacis on the first Friday of every month starting from last Friday after the 10.30 a.m. Mass for those affected by grief and loss. The next Bethany bereavement support group will meet next Tuesday at 8.30 p.m. till 9.30 p.m.

QOP youth club
Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club are making preparations for 2019 with great enthusiasm. The programme which they have been working on during the holiday will include a lot of extra challenging events. This will be put to the membership for ratification on Friday January 11. Bray Divers based in Greystones Harbour hope to start the year with a lot of new recruits. Trainers are qualified, and unpaid. They do the training due to their love of the sea, and they hope to share this with as many people as possible. Up to six new recruits at time will be taken on, and this could be a family, a company, or a group of friends or individuals. Call Albert on 0876756439 and get into and under the water with the club.
Lions Club Swim
Four local voluntary organisations will benefit from today's (Wednesday) Bray Lions Club Charity Sea Swim - these are Wicklow Rapid Response (WWRR), Bray Area Rough Sleepers Support (BARSS), Bray Women's Refuge and Bray Lions senior citizens' /Carers' Fund. The swim HQ is at the Esplanade Hotel which is generously supporting the event, and swimming will take place from the beach opposite the hotel.

Meetings of the Bray Cualann Histyorical Society, the local history society for Bray and North Wicklow will resume at 8 p.m. on January 16 in the Royal Hotel, Bray when the AGM of the society will take, and will be followed by talk by James Scannell recalling 'The Closure of the Harcourt, Street, Dublin - Bray line, December 31, 1958' to mark the 60th anniversary of the line's closure. All members are requested to attend the AGM - admission for visitors to the talk - €5.
In the meantime three events which may be of interest to members and supporters of the Bray Cualann Historical Society are the 8 p.m. Thursday, January 3, lecture by David Crawford to the Mount Merrion Historical Societyrecalling 'Stanley Woods: The World's first motorcycling superstar' in the the community centre, North Avenue, Mount Merrion, Co. Members and supporters of the Enniskerry History Society are asked to note that January 10 is the last date to obtain a copy of the Old Bray Society's has published a special issue of the Bray Historical Record - 'First World War Special Issue' which recalls those from county Wicklow, who took part in this conflict from the Town Hall Bookshop, 23 Florence Road, Bray.

One Act Drama Festival
The Bray One Act Drama Festival 2019 will be bringing a wonderful mix of comedy and drama to the stage. Performed by both newcomers and seasoned performers, these plays are sure to provide five nights of entertainment, with all proceeds going to charitable causes. We are delighted to welcome Chrissie Poulter back to the festival as our adjudicator, and of course, the loyal festival audience who support the Bray One Act Festival each year.

The next term of Yoga Classes is starting on Wednesdays January 9 6 p.m. to 7.15 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Space behind the Corner House Village Practice.
